New Campground Manager: Doug Altman

We have hired Doug Altman as our next campground manager. He will start  January 1.  Work is still continuing on the manager’s residence so we don’t know for sure when they will be able to move.  While we are paying Doug a small stipend until they sell their house, he is essentially a volunteer manager.

We’re having a week long welcoming party for Doug & Connie January 6-12.  Please bring food, tools and bedding and help work on repairing the water damage in the sleeping rooms behind the kitchen, the kitchen itself and the drain and floor in the dishroom.  (I know this sounds like a work week, which it is, but it sounds more impressive to call it a welcoming party!!)

Blessings,

Vern

CB Work Day: May 20

Please note below we have added a second work day for Camp Bountiful, in case this coming Saturday is not a good day for some.  The playground mulch will be delivered this Friday and we will spread it on Saturday.  Phil Crabtree will bring his tractor to transport it to the playground so we will need people with rakes to spread it around.

Please bring lunch or food to share if you choose to do so.

Vern

This year we will be having 2 work days to get ready for summer camps. April 29th is the first one and May 20th is the second one. They are both on Saturdays and will begin at 9 AM. You can choose which is more convenient for you or come to both. Below is a list of some of the things we would like to accomplish.

  • Paint and re-caulk exterior siding of lodge
  • Clean flood debris from labyrinth
  • Spread mulch on playground
  • Clean cabins
  • Clean out store rooms and bedrooms behind kitchen
  • Repair and paint walls in bedrooms behind kitchen
  • Hang awnings at shelter house
  • Check air conditioner filters
  • Work on screens on doors and windows
  • Clean lifeguard quarter/bathrooms
  • Sand and paint lodge RR stall doors

If congregations would like to adopt some of these jobs, providing supplies and/or labor, please let Mark DiSantis know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly. Thank you for your loving service!
